NASA Summer Academy Student Checklist

Eligibility

  • Classified as a junior, senior, or first year graduate student as of June 1st
  • Grade point average 3.5 or better
  • Majoring in science, engineering, math, or computer science
  • U.S. Citizen

Application Procedure

  • NASA Academy Application Form
  • Applicant's Resumé
  • Applicant's unofficial transcripts from Universities attended
  • Two faculty letters of recommendation
  • Brief biographical essay (100-150 words)
  • Brief essay addressing why you want to attend the NASA Academy (300-400 words)
  • Essay ranking three research projects are interested in, including justification and/or qualifications (see NASA Academy project descriptions on the website)
  • Optional NASA essay on your views about current NASA projects

Application Deadline: January 31, 2002.

Please see the Minnesota Space Grant (MnSGC) Office Program Coordinator 5 days prior to the deadline to go over the application procedure and your documentation.
