• Foam appears at the top of the reactor when U_gas is larger than a critical value for a fixed U _liquid .
• If you increase U_gas for a fixed U _liquid you push down the foam.
• If you increase U _liquid for a fixed U _gas, the foam retreats.
• There is no foam when U _liquid is large enough.

The interface moves down when the gas is increased and moves up when the liquid is increased.

This is the way reactors foam; the bubbly mixture below is consumed by foam.
